Contributing to a better understanding and development of pharmaceutical law.

The European Pharmaceutical Law Association (EPLA) is an association of professionals with a mission to contribute to a better understanding and development of pharmaceutical law, including international harmonisation and its particular role in the field of consumer protection and safeguarding of public health.

More

Established in Brussels in March 2024, EPLA provides a network of experts in pharmaceutical law and policy, and their related areas of law, including medical device law and offers educational opportunities on legal questions raised by the developing nature of the pharmaceutical industry.

As part of its mission, EPLA will organise dedicated workshops, conferences and congresses to promote the objectives of the association and to address critical legal issues in the pharmaceutical law and life sciences sector, bringing together scientific and academic experts, regulatory and public health authorities and legal practice professionals. EPLA will also develop position statements to address legal principles and points of law.

Membership is open to individuals who, by their professional activities or their publications, contribute to the development of pharmaceutical law in a legal or a non-legal field including lawyers, scientists, academics and employees of pharmaceutical companies.

The annual membership fee is determined by the General Assembly; currently it amounts to €450 for individual members, €200 for academics and public sector employees, and €50 for retired members and students. Should you be interested in joining the new association please fill out the membership form.

If you wish to learn more about the benefits of membership, please contact the EPLA Secretariat.
